Jim McAleese is a veteran stand-up comic who has worked nightclubs, college campuses and corporate events across Canada for more than 20 years. Apart from headlining his own shows, Jim has also shared the stage with such stars as Jim Carrey, Norm Macdonald, and Howie Mandel.
"Actually I started stand-up at the same Toronto club as Jim Carrey. He started about a month before me. So I figure I'll be hitting the big time in about a month from now."
His many television appearances over the years include "An Evening at the Improv", "Comics! on CBC" and "Open Mike with Mike Bullard".
His comedy can best be described as comfortable, folksy and distinctly Canadian. His favourite targets are himself and his family. His "No one gets hurt. No one gets embarrassed. They're my audience. Why would I want to hurt them? " Jim says.
In recent years he has turned his skills to the acting profession appearing in numerous commercials and feature length films.
