For the past 10 years, he has travelled Canada, performed at many prestigious festivals and clubs, made national TV appearances, released two critically acclaimed albums, received ECMA nominations and had 2 Top 40 hits. Not too shabby for a regular guy from New Brunswick, Canada...
2009 brought a lot of excitement to the Chase camp. A new management company developed a new global vision and Kevin went to work on writing and recording new songs for his third album. Songs by established writers were also looked at to round out the concept and vision.
A conscious decision was also made not to rush the recording process and Anthony Little, who has worked with the likes of Tina Turner, Reba McIntyre, Justin Timberlake and 90 Degrees was brought in to mix some of the potential singles and master the project.
16 months later, the new Kevin Chase album was ready to be unleashed on the public at large. The power of the internet proved to be a major bonus prior to and immediately after the completion of the album with thousands of Kevin Chase fans rushing to his brand new My Space site to check out some of the new songs. Kevin spent 45 consecutive days at # 1 on the Canadian My Space Charts in 2 categories: Indie Country Artist & Overall Country Artist, which includes major label acts. During the same time, Kevin continuously was in the Top 5 songs and was rated the #1 artist in all genres numerous times.
Internationally, he spent the same time frame in the Indie Country Top 20, peaking twice at #9. On the Global Overall Country Top 100, which includes all major label artists, he peaked at #51.
The best part of it all is the artist himself: Kevin Chase not only has a fantastic and recognizable voice, he is the type of person that the everyday man and woman on the street can relate to.
