"...every nuance, all the drum parts, and the singer has Sting down to a tee"
STEWART COPELAND

"...the best copy band I have seen to date..close your eyes and it's my boys..."
MILES COPELAND

"...you won't believe it's not The Police...completely captures, not just the
music of The Police, but their very essence...absolutely amazing"
IAN COPELAND

pManaged by Miles Copeland himself, the original manager of The Police, THE POLICE EXPERIENCE is the result of Miles Copeland's international search for musicians who could pull off duplicating, in the most authentic way possible, The Police as you remember them. THE POLICE EXPERIENCE hurls you back 20 years ago to re-live the raw, electrifying, experience of seeing The Police in their prime. With extraordinary attention to detail, the band will amaze audiences; from young fans of 80s music who may not have even heard of The Police, to the most hardcore of fans. The band is made up of members of FALLOUT, (Mike Nieland, David Rasner, and Jimbo Head). Fallout was the Police tribute band that caught Ian Copeland's attention and made a name for themselves as the most authentic Police tribute around, eventually gaining the endorsement of the entire Copeland family.

In July 2003, Ian Copeland arranged the band to play STEWART COPELAND'S BIRTHDAY PARTY. With Ian, Stewart, and Miles in the audience, FALLOUT, ripped through all the classic Police tunes. Later in the evening, Stewart asked if he could sit in. FALLOUT and Stewart tore the house down with "Driven To Tears" and "Roxanne." For the band it was an honor and a solid affirmation of their efforts to play with one of the world's most talented rock drummers ever and the founding member of The Police!

The band has also attracted fans like TAYLOR HAWKINS of THE FOO FIGHTERS who frequently joins the band for a whole show.

THE POLICE EXPERIENCE is the OFFICIAL POLICE TRIBUTE BAND. A true "tribute" to one of the best rock and roll bands ever. So if you like The Police, this is as close as it gets.

David Rasner (Sting)
Like Sting, David has been an actor as well as a musician. He received his MFA from the American Conservatory Theater graduate program. He was a regular in Bay Area theatres such as the American Conservatory Theater, The Magic Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Voice-over credits include; "Final Fantasy: The Movie", "Princess Mononoke", "Ferngully 2," “Astroboy: The Series”, HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm", the title role of Jubei in “Ninja Scroll: The Series” and the soon to be released video game Final Fantasy XII. A talented vocal mimic and a long-time fan of The Police, it was second nature to sound like Sting. Recently, he even lent his Sting impersonation to a lead villain named Steng on The Cartoon Network's Zatch Bell. Currently he is a regular on several animated series and specializes in voice replacing everyone from Antonio Banderas to L.L. Cool J. More than anything, David enjoys spending time with his wife Jonna and his children, Sofia, Rita, Emelia, and Tomas.

Mike Nieland (Stewart)
Since starting at the age of 4, Mike has studied with the top drummers in his field including; Chester Thompson, Billy Cobham, Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, as well as being a graduate (top of his class- by the way) of the now-infamous 'School of Hard Knocks'… In other words, Mike has spent the last 15 years on the road, touring and recording with a multitude of artists from the obscure right up to Grammy-Winning producers. "Growing up I played along with all of The Police stuff to the point where I knew it front to back… This gig made perfect sense to me, I could finally get a chance to play these great songs that I grew up in awe of and pay tribute to them." Mike also teaches around L.A. when time permits.

Jimbo Head (Andy)
Details are sketchy, but apparently Jim was born in Virginia Beach, VA and spent his formative years in Bethlehem, PA. There are rumors that he had fronted an Amish acoustic death metal band called The Plain Fist, but there is no real evidence of that. Eventually he moved to L.A. to follow his dream of moving back to Bethlehem saying that he had lived in L.A., but fate intervened when he was chosen out of thousands of unqualified people in a christmas day parade to work at Mesa Boogie. He still holds the same job, living in seclusion with his large guitar collection and cat. He loves wine, sushi, and has many wonderful friends. He refuses to drop names, or give any information as to his formal training in guitar and bands he may or may not have been in. He will, however, wax ad nauseam on the benefits of having a good tailor.

GUEST STARS

Marco Minnemann (Stewart)
Marco started playing organ at the age of 6. At 11, he switched to both drums AND guitar. At only 19, "Freaky Fukin' Weirdoz" offered him a position as drummer in 1992, in connection with a major deal with BMG-Ariola, and eventually, a long collaboration with Nina Hagen. Marco has performed and recorded with artists such as: Paul Gilbert, Nena Hagen, Udo Lindenberg, H-Blockx, Mike Keneally, FFW, Gianna Nannini, Garry Willis, The Kelly Family and many more. His work as an educational author with Rick Gratton, has produced 2 books including the award winning, and in many magazines voted #1, "Extreme Interdependence". One of his DVDs "Extreme Drumming" won polls and achieved Marco a Telly Award. He recently toured as a trio with Terry Bozzio and Chad Wackerman. His new DVD with featured artists Mike Keneally, Bryan Beller and the Buddy Rich Big Band is out now.

Taylor Hawkins (Stewart)
Known principally for his role as drummer for The Foo Fighters, Taylor Hawkins was born in Dallas, Texas. Hawkins grew up in the surf and sand of California's Laguna Beach. Influenced by Stewart Copeland, Hawkins briefly spent time early in his career honing his skills with the experimental group Sylvia before enlisting in the touring band for Canadian singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette. When the Foo Fighters found themselves suddenly without a drummer in 1997, however, Hawkins jumped at the chance to join the group's ranks behind the drum kit. After becoming a fixture with the Foos, Taylor explored solo work with his project Taylor Hawkins & the Coattail Riders.
